SHERIFF NATHANIEL WILLIAMS
Sheriff Nathaniel Williams
From humble beginnings, the first African American ever elected to hold the Sheriff’s position in the Parish of St. Helena, Sheriff Nathaniel “Nat” Williams was born in 1956 in East Feliciana parish where he graduated from High School.
After Sheriff’s high school graduation he enlisted in the Army for 6 years and was in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division / Military Police. His entire career experience has been in the form of law enforcement.
Sheriff Williams is now on his third term of serving as Sheriff of the St. Helena.. His heart is knit to the people of this parish.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience he continues to leads the parish of St. Helena through these trying and difficult times continually praying for wisdom and knowledge.
The Sheriff has an open-door policy here in St. Helena. If there is a situation or circumstance that you’re dealing with please know that he will help you as much as he can.
